Cruelty against Animals is still running high at the Kila Raipur Sports Festival, better known as Rural Olympics in village Kila Raipur. It is suited at a distance of 25 kilometres from Ludhiana city. But this time the place of Bullock carts has been taken by the Greyhound dogs as far as the cruelty against Animals is concerned for human pleasure in the sports festivals.

It is pertinent to mention that Bullock cart races has been banned by the Punjab and Haryana High Court after the appeal from People for Animals to stop cruelty against animals. They also requested to stop races of other animals also such as dogs and horses at the Kila Raipur Sports Festival.

But on the request of Grewal Sports Association the concerned authorities have granted them permission to carry the Greyhound dogs races at the Kila Raipur Sports Festival. Moreover it was the only center of attraction on the first day of rural Olympics at Village Kila Raipur. As the villagers from various parts of Punjab came with their dogs to make them participate in the Greyhound dogs races at sports festival. Villager came from district Hoshiarpur , Amritsar , Ludhiana and many other places.

But the dogs were seen facing a lot of health problems after and before running in the races. The dogs were visibly dehydrated and their owners were trying to keep them in their well being by spraying water in their months after every fifteen to twenty minutes. But one dog’s health was badly affected after the race. The dog was visibly not able to breathe properly and was allegedly in almost unconscious state as you can see in the video below. This is the exclusive video of one dog with Daily Post India .
