Gauri Lankesh murder: SIT releases sketches of suspects – On Saturday, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has released sketches of three suspects of Journalist Gauri Lankesh murder case. Two main suspects have been identified and two of these sketches are based on different description of the same suspect because they are made by two different artists.The SIT head told to the reporters, “We got some leads from the CCTV’s outside Gauri Lankesh’s home. We are investigating the matter from each and every angle. We have so far found no link to the Dabholkar murder.” He added that one of the suspects sported a ‘tilak’ on his forehead, but that might have been done to “mislead” investigators.Gauri Lankesh, the editor of Kannada tabloid Gauri Lankesh Patrike, was shot dead outside her residence in Bengaluru on September 5 by unidentified assailants. The SIT was set up to the case. Earlier, the CCTV footage’s was released, in that a middle aged man riding a motorcycle was captured in CCTV. He wore a full sleeves formal shirt, an identity card and a band on his right wrist. He was taking 3 rounds near her house.The 150-member SIT is headed by Inspector General of Police BK Singh with Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) MN Anucheth as its main Investigation Officer.
