Geelani calendar: Srinagar: Agencies are acting strictly against cross border terror funding in the valley. On Sunday, NIA conducted a raid at Devinder Singh Behl’s house, a member of the Hurriyat Legal Cell, and inquired for hours. During the raid, NIA recovered 4 mobile phones, a tablet, several other electronic material and documents. Advocate by profession, Devinder Singh Behl is said to have close relation with prominent Separatist leader Saeed Ali Shah Geelani.

It is believed that Devinder Singh works as a link between Pakistan and separatists in terror funding. In this, NIA has summoned both sons of Geelani for interrogation, after which the elder son suffered chest pain and he was admitted in hospital.Calendar is the reason
According to the news – The main reason of investigation against Geelani is a calendar found, on which Separatist Leaders have planned to spread disturbance in Jammu and Kashmir. It is being said that calendar was signed by Geelani and it is recovered from Geelani’s son-in-law. Geelani’s son-in-law is currently in NIA custody.
Meanwhile,on Sunday the anti-terror agency questioned Devinder Singh Behal after raided. Sources said JKSPF was a constituent of All Party Hurriyat Conference’s Geelani faction and Behal was closely associated with the latter.Behal was “a close associate of a top Hurriyat leader and regularly attends funerals of militants”. said National Investigation Agency spokesperson Inspector General Alok Mittal.
It is investigation Behal’s role as a “courier” as he is suspected to be involved in routing funds to separatist leaders from Pakistani based handlers, he said.NIA marked the activities of Behal from august 2016 and recovered a calender of protest. this calendar relates to the period when J&K saw maximum number of protests. On August 8, the activity mentioned was to block all roads towards and around the civil secretariat in Srinagar and tehsil offices and to ensure that no employee was able to join duty.
