Super Blue Blood Moon 2018: Wednesday evening will witness the day when the rarest of rare space phenomenon will take place. A total Lunar eclipse (Chandra Grahan 2018) will occur with a blue moon, known as a Super Blue Blood Moon and it is the first Lunar Eclipse of 2018.The day will witness a ‘Super Moon’ – the moon appears larger than usual because its distance from Earth is closest. Also It will be a Blue Moon, the second full moon of a calendar month. Further, a total lunar eclipse will produce a Blood Moon — the only natural satellite of the Earth appears reddish. This is taking place after 152 years. The Blood Moon occurs because the Earth is passing between the Moon and the Sun, which gives the Moon a reddish tint to it. It’s caused by light bending around the Earth because of gravity passing around a portion of the atmosphere, more commonly known as a lunar eclipse.
