New Delhi: Foreign countries made mobiles are used in our country and they remain vulnerable to data security. Central government is considering to make special mobile phones in India, which will be given to the country’s security forces. According to information, soldiers can get special phones made in India instead of China or Taiwan. The government wants save the data of the security forces and their communications equipment to be completely safe.According to sources, Government will first consider it by own and then it will be a considered with all stakeholders including the mobile phone maker. According to a source, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ravi Shankar Prasad had discussed the possibility of making mobile phones only for security forces and also talk about mobiles phones features.According to the sources, the main purpose of the government behind this proposal is that indian law aginces will control all the activities of security forces. This material should be based on servers located in India so that the government and the legal agencies can fully control on it. It is also said that this work will be given to any Indian company.The source denied the possibility of being selected as a foreign company with a server in India. Recently the government issued notice to more than 30 smart phone companies, asking them to provide data protection, in which 12 companies have filed their reply. The remaining companies have asked for more time.
