Chief Election Commissioner India AK Jyoti has said that Gujarat elections are likely to be held in the month of December. The term of Gujrat Assembly will end in the third week of January, 2018. VVPAT machines will be used at all fifty thousand booths in Gujarat. Election commission may announce the dates for Assembly election Gujrat and Himachal Pradesh today. The EC chief will address a press conference at 4:00 pm.Election Commissioner Jyoti said that elections will be done in a peaceful environment and CCTV cameras will be installed on the sensitive booth and border check post. To assess the preparations for assembly elections in Gujarat, EC Chief Jyoti discussed this with Chief Secretary JN Singh and Executive Officer of Police Geetha Johri on Tuesday. Jyoti said that there are 4 crore 33 lakh voters in the state, out of which 10 lakh 46 thousand new ones are added.Any citizen will be able to send a mobile app, SMS, video and photograph, to complain about the dissolution of the election campaign. He said that banks will be monitored for transactions from banks for the prevention of illegal cash transaction. GPS system will also be monitoring the vehicle.
