Gujarat Dalit boy brutally lynched for watching Garba. Another incident of cruelty against dalits has come came to the light where a 21-year-old boy from Bhadraniya village Gujarat‘s Anand district was allegedly beaten to death by a upper-caste patel community for attending a garba event.This heart trembling incident took place on Sunday morning when Jayesh Bhailalbhai Solanki went to attend local garba event along with his cousin and three others. Patel youths told the Dalits that they “do not have any right to watch garba”, reports.
In a Complaint filed by victim’s cousin Prakash, they were enjoying garba while sitting near the temple when a person named, Sanjay Patel, approached them and started inquiring about what they were doing there. Prakash has stated, “When we told him that we were watching garba, he started abusing us and even hurled casteist insults.“He went back and returned with seven others and first slapped Prakash. When Jayesh tried to intervene, they dragged him away and started thrashing him.” Prakash further cited that some of the attackers picked up and flung Jayesh whose head banged on the wall. Prakash alleged that, “Though he suffered severe head injury, they continued to beat him .”Attackers left the spot after people started gathering on the spot. After being hit to the wall Jayesh went unconscious and was taken to Borsad hospital from he was shifted to Karamsad Medical College and Hospital. Prakash told the police that, Doctors checked him and declared him dead.
