Lt. Gen. AK Bhatt, Director General of the Indian Military Operations (DGMO), has warned Pakistan in strong words. Indian DGMO has said that if the Pakistani army fired on the control line in Jammu and Kashmir or continue “abet infiltration”, then he would have to bear the consequences of his retaliation. On the request of Pakistan, a meeting was held between the Army Operations Chiefs of India and Pakistan on the current situation on the Actual Line of Control of Jammu-Kashmir on Monday morning. Lieutenant General A.K. Bhatt has ensured Pakistan that India is committed to maintain peace and stability on the border but this commitment would be according to the intent and motives of the Pakistani army.
If the Pakistani army is going to incite and encourage intruders and also continue firing across the border, the Indian Army will respond to it. During the last one month, a meeting is held for the second time on a hot line between the two Army Operations Chiefs .
Bhatt also raised the issue of Pakistani Army’s unilateral stance on border without any cause. On raising the issue of the killing of non-combatants by Pakistan’s military chief, Bhatt said that Indian Army is fully professional and does not work in any way to harm the non-combatants.
