ISRO has developed a satellite-based chip system which will now warn people who travel by road to unmanned railway gates that the train is coming. It can be ascertained from where the particular train is at thattime.Experimentally, this system will be installed in Mumbai and Guwahati Capital Train.Integrated circuit developed in ISRO in railway trains engines.Chip will be installed. With this, when the train approaches an unmanned gate, the hooter will warn the people using the road.A senior railway official attached to the project said that hutters would be installed on 20 unmanned railway gates on the railway tracks of Guwahati and Mumbai.Under this, hooks will be secured through the IC chip about 500 meters before the gates. From this, the people using the road and the train driver along with them will be alert as well as the train. As the train approaches the rail gate, the sound of the hooter will increase. The hooter will calm down as soon as the train crosses.Alerting those who use the road route, the satellite based system will also be used to keep an eye on the train and tell about its movement on a real-time basis. This system will be very helpful to passengers and others because there is no such system for locating the position and movement of the train. At the moment, this work is done manually. There are about 10 thousand unmanned gateways in the country and about 40 percent of railway related accidents are causing them the same reasons.Actually, people’s security at unmanned railway gates is a big concern for the Railways and the Railways is looking for different ways to deal with it.
