‘Khelo India’ scheme to promote sports by new sports minister. To promote sports and to search new sport skills in country ‘Khelo India’ scheme replacing Rajiv Gandhi Khel Yojna, the Urban Sports Structure Scheme and the Skill Sports scheme has been launched in the country and Union Sports Minister Col. Rajvardhan Singh Rathore while announcing the biggest scheme for the country’s sports person said that players will be given Rs 5 lakh each year through this scheme. Colonel Rajvardhan Singh Rathore inaugurated various development works in Jaipur Rural on Saturday. On this program, he lauded the winners of Kabaddi events at Nayala and said that the Prime Minister has started ‘Khelo India’ to bring the talents to the sports players under which the 1000 sport persons will be selected across the country.
These players will be given Rs 5 lakhs for 8 years. He said that playing for the first time in Delhi in December, ‘Khelo India’ will be performing as Asian Games. On this occasion, he announced Rs 8 lakh for two rooms of the school and a committee hall in Nayala.
