The Lucknow Metro has stuck on the first day due to technical breakdown. The metro was inaugurated by UP CM Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday. He also took the journey with Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Governor Ramankar. Lucknow Metro is currently running from Transport Nagar to Charbagh railway station near Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport. Lucknow Metro now has six trains, in which one of these is in reserve and the remaining five are being run. One of these trains was returning from the Charbagh station to the Transport Nagar, and then suddenly stopped at a distance of some hundred kilo meters from the station. On the first day, the passengers travelling in the metro got frightened by it. For about one and a half hour Metro didn’t work which created a chaos among the passengers. After that, the passengers were brought on the track by placing the ladder with the Emergency door. After walking around 300 meters from the metro track, they reached Durgapuri, from where they were sent to transport city for the second train. Metro will be taken to the depot for testing of technical issues. At present, one of the two lines of Metro is in process.During the inaugurating of Metro, Chief Minister Adityanath appreciated the team behind the completion of the project. In his address, he said that the metro will helps to reduce the traffic congestion. During this time, he assured that work on the other steps of the Lucknow Metro project would be completed as soon as possible. Adityanath thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for providing loan from the European Investment Bank for the project.On Monday, some Samajwadi Party workers had organised the inauguration program regarding Lucknow Metro. They distributed sweets and gave credit to Akhilesh Yadav to gift this metro facility to Lucknow. Akhilesh was invited in this program. He did not appear in the program there, but he expressed his views on Twitter on the project about which he had started. Former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav tweeted, “The engine had already been run, and the bogies had to follows.” He gave the advice to state government of paying attention to other problems rather than metro.
