In the Sikkim sector, for nearly a month, military confrontation between India and China are going on. Due to this the School Principals came together and asked their students to boycott China’s education and materials. The Mumbai School Principal Association, which claims to have more than 1500 schools in Mumbai, is sending its message to increase patriotism and spread awareness amongst students. Members of the Association believe that this is just a small step, with which we can show our support for the troops deployed on the border. Associated with the Association, Prashant Reddy said that students should be aware of the problems being faced the country. They said that all things like pen, compass box and eraser are made in China. If we can harm a little bit the economic benefit of China, then that means we are doing something. The association is now going to print a circular, which will be sent to all schools. Reddy said schools have the responsibility to awaken patriotism among the students. Some other Principals also say that if this appeal was from the education department then many other schools would follow it. Many principals here say that the students should be taught the right way. They are not asked not only for the exclusion of goods made in China, but to make them fully aware of issues related to current affairs.
