Even though the Supreme Court has given immediate relief on the issue of linking the pen to the income tax return, the central government is not in the mood of withdrawal from the obligations of the Aadhaar.The government has made it clear that UIDs are essential for the benefit of government schemes. After June 30, such people will not be able to benefit from welfare schemes, who do not have the Aadhaar number. According to a media report, the government has said before the Supreme Court that where there is no facility for the Aadhaar card, relief is given there.
But in the areas where the people had a unique opportunity and facilities for making Aadhaar cards, the welfare schemes without the UID can not be reaped. In the affidavit submitted in the Supreme Court, it has been stated that the basis on June 30, 2017 Notification has been issued for registration but it has also been said that people are not able to do so in the absence of facilities in their area.
If so, they can request the registration of Aadhaar near the nearest officer. They had to give their name and mobile number so that whenever they could get the facilities, they could have their base. Such people will continue to get the benefits of government schemes.
The Supreme Court has requested that they allow the government to grow in the mandatory by June 30 as 95% of the people have created the Aadhaar cards and link them to the social welfare schemes. The government has saved 49,560 crore rupees in last two and a half years.
