Odd-Even Scheme implemented in Delhi: National Green Tribunal on Saturday implemented odd even scheme for vehicles in Delhi to deal with the rising problem of pollution and smog in capital.A hearing was underway in the National Green Tribunal on whether odd-even car rationing plan would return to smog-hit Delhi on Monday. The National Green Tribunal was supposed to decide today whether the odd-even plan will be implemented in Delhi or not. The data related to Odd Even implementation was represented in NGT. The NGT questioned the basis for the AAP government’s decision pointing out that the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) have found that the levels of PM10 and PM2.5 were cumulatively higher when the scheme was implemented twice earlier.Last Day, during the hearing, the Delhi government counsel told the bench that they were introducing the odd-even scheme in pursuance to the directions of the apex court-appointed EPCA.But the tribunal rapped him over this submission and said the Environment Pollution Control Authority (EPCA) had issued several suggestions and odd-even scheme was just one of them.On Thursday, the city government had announced the odd-even plan to be implemented from November 13 to 17.
