14 bogies of goods train derails: In the second accident of the day, At least 14 bogies of a coal laden goods train derailed near Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district, on Friday morning. The incident occurred at 5:55 am, near Gauli station here. No casualties were reported. The Indian Railways informed that restoration of affected line is expected to be completed by tomorrow.
Earlier, The Patna-bound Vasco Da Gama Express (12741) derailed at 4:18 am, soon after leaving platform number 2 of the Manikpur Railway Station in Chitrakoot district of Uttar Pradesh, about 250 km from Lucknow. At least three passengers were killed and nine others injured in the unfortunate incident.
