Parneet Kaur Dera Chief. Anshul Chattrapati, son of journalist Ramchandra Chattrapati, who exposed the black deeds of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, has leveled serious allegations against former Union Minister Parneet Kaur. Anshul has alleged that Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh’s wife Parneet Kaur tried to save the Dera chief. He has claimed that the then Congress MP from Patiala Parneet Kaur along with Punjab Congress leader Harminder Singh Jassi; and BIS Chahal, the then media adviser to the Punjab CM; had tried to put pressure on the CBI in favour of the Sirsa Dera head in 2005 pertaining to his father’s murder case. He alleged that when the CBI team arrived in Sirsa to question the Dera head, Chahal and Jassi tried to put pressure on it. Naming these three, Anshul claimed that other leaders had also tried to exert pressure on the agency. On the other hand Bharat Inder Singh Chahal, says that neither he met Gurmeet Ram Rahim nor he went Sirsa during CBI investigation. The allegations against him are motivated from politics. Anshul said the INLD, Congress and BJP governments in Haryana all this while were looking for votes and they did not look for victims. For this reason, these parties did not speak a word against the Dera chief. The son of the slain journalist said his fight to get justice for his father would continue. He urged the media to fight against the system so that people like Gauri Lankesh and Chhatrapati were not targeted.
