As the shops, ATMs, cinema halls, petrol pumps are closed today, hours before a court verdict in a rape case against the sect head Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. Some residents are enjoying in their houses instead of worrying about case verdict, as many of them are having holidays.Section 144 has been imposed, and all schools and colleges in Punjab and Haryana have been ordered to remain shut on August 25. The people enjoyed in their houses on this sudden holiday.Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court in Panchkula will pronounce the verdict against Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh at 2:30 pm on Friday. The situation in Punjab and Haryana remained tense. Almost every institution in the two states is closed. Transport services, Internet services are also closed. There are strict security arrangements, in some places and the situation is like curfew. According to reports, a decision will be taken at about 2:30 pm today.
