Robbers looted more than eight families travelling in Jhelum express after spraying poisonous gas in two AC coaches; train was going from Pune to Jammu.The passengers shared horror tales of their journey at the Ludhiana railway station on Friday. The incident occurred between 4:00 am and 7:00 am at Palwal- Delhi. Thieves sprayed gas in coaches which became them unconsciousness and looted their valuable things and luggage.The passengers informed the police officers on the stations, the ticket checkers, police patrols, running along with the train after the incident, but they didn’t take seriously.
Not only this, but the RPF’s ASI Pawan Kumar, the commanding officer, Lal Chand Meena, also caught two thieves while fleeing the luggage, but instead of threatening to slap up the passengers, the youth was driven away.Sitting at number 31 in A-1 coach, Namrata Priyadarshini tweeted to the Railway Minister, the railway officers came to the dock and within 15 minutes the police reached Ambala in their coach. Ambala police filed an FIR and sent the security along with the train.
Passengers said there was no guard on board the train and there was no police officer present in the A1 and B5 coaches where the incident occurred. They also urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ensure security to train passengers, rather than concentrating on the bullet train project. “Will the Prime Minister ensure that we get our luggage other belongings back?” they asked.
