New Delhi: Supreme Court bans sale of fire crackers till November 1. Chetan Bhagat, renowned Indian writer has a habbit of creating controversies. With Diwali coming up, the writer sparked another controversy when he showed dissent towards Supreme Court’s ruling. The Supreme Court on Monday had restored the order banning the sale and stocking of firecrackers in Delhi and National Capital Region.However, it did not go down well with Chetan Bhagat as he took to Twitter to show his dissent. He asserted that banning crackers during diwali was similar to banning Christmas tree during Christmas. While voicing his opinion through a series of tweets, he also questioned the guts of the SC for banning things related to Hindu festivities and asked if goat sacrifice and Muharram would be banned as well.While restoring the order, the bench headed by Justice AK Sikri said that one for once they should witness the impact of a cracker-free Diwali.
