VHP, Bajrang Dal raise slogans against Muslims, case registered.
Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal associated persons on Dusherra fired shots in air in Hanuman Mandir adjoining Ramlila ground of Agra and at the Dasna temple of Ghaziabad and saffron-clad activists armed with gun, pistols, rifle and swords allegedly raised objectionable slogans targeting minority community.Police on Monday registered a case against more than 60 members of VHP and Bajrang dal including 29 under serious non-bailable sections for engaging in firing and allegedly raising slogans against other community on auspicious day celebrations.According to the received information chief priest of Mandir alleged that it was a practice that had been going on for last 12 years on Dusherra. FIR has been registered on right wing men under IPC sections 143, 144, 149, 153, 153 A, 188, 295A, 298, 307, 505 of Criminal law.According to police FIR, Inspector Sanjeev Kumar Tomar claimed “Around 70-80 right-wing men gathered with weapons at Hanuman temple near world heritage monument Agra fort. The group violated local administration orders and raised highly objectionable slogans against other religious community and fired several shots in the air with their licensed weapons. The act of VHP and Bajrang Dal members created a sense of insecurity among the local residents and the tourists, after which a stampede like situation occurred, endangering the lives of many.”
