New policy formulated for marriage palaces: Vinnie Mahajan
Roopnagar – The new policy created by the government to establish new marriage palaces and regularizing unauthorized marriage palaces in the state, Punjab Marriage Palace Honors Association praised during the meeting held at Puda Bhawan. Additional Chief Secretary Housing and Urban Development Department cum Vice Chairman Puda Vinni Mahajan said that new policy for regularizing marriage palaces and setting up new palaces will be applicable in all municipal territories including the entire state.Which palaces cannot be regularize, they will be used for another purpose by demolishing these by owners. Under the policy, Exemption is granted related to sanitation, parking in marriage palaces, provision of parking as per parking space (20% of the total space), schools, colleges, hospitals, religious places and minimum distance from the industry of the red category. While the marriage palaces will be allowed to run which are on the verge of closing, because of the pending decision.Under the policy, 1093 Marriage Palaces received regularization applications, out of which 109 have been regularized and 401 were given CLUs. 580 Marriage Palaces are untranced. Regulatory applications can be submitted by October 31, 2017 and pending applications will be disposed of by December 31, 2017.
