NN Vohra wants to step down as J-K Governor.
According to reports Jammu and Kashmir Governor NN Vohra wants to resign from his post. He has written a letter to Centre in which he writes to look for his replacement as he resigning due to health issues. On the other side according to reports Government is considering baseless his reason for resign.He is the current and 12th governor Of Jammu and Kashmir and was appointed as governor on 25 june , 2008 and also offered second term in 2013. He took over from S. K. Sinha on June 25, 2008. He is the first civilian Governor of Jammu and Kashmir in 18 years after Jagmohan.However Home ministry of country said that they don’t have received any resignation letter from Governor N.N Vohra. He served in the IAS between 1959 and 1994 and also served as Defence Secretary ( 21.03.1990-06.04.1993), Principal Secretary to Prime Minister I. K. Gujral in 1997-98 and was a member of the National Security Advisory Board from 1998 to 2001 when the NDA government was in power. He also headed the National Task Force on internal security and co-chaired the India-European Union Round Table in 2001. (with wikipedia source)
