Melbourne: – In Melbourne, a taxi driver was injured after a murderous assault on him. The taxi driver, Diljit Athwal, had gone to pick up a passenger at five o’clock in the park in St. Albans, in the western part of Melbourne. He loaded the passenger’s luggage in the boot space of the car and demanded advance rent as per rules. However, the passenger got angry and asked Diljit to unload his luggage. Diljit started to unload the luggage and the angry passenger took out the car keys and attacked him. Diljit was seriously injured and lost four of his teeth. The police registered a case on the basis of Diljit’s statements. The Taxi Service Commission also took photographs after the incident and gave them to the Police. The police is now looking for the accused.After this attack, Diljit and his family are very scared because he is the only earning member in the family. Dillit said that he has given his medical test and is now waiting for the medical report. He is also fearing of damage in his facial bones. He added that due to costly dental treatments in Australia, he’s currently unable to get his treatment done. The incident is being criticized by everyone and mainly by the taxi drivers.
