104 CCTV cameras to install at Ludhiana railway station to ensure safety. With the motive to escalate the safety of women at Ludhiana railway station, authorities are going to install 104 CCTV cameras at different points of the premises of railway station. Installation of these cameras would also truncate the crime rate and smuggling at railway station.Railway protection force has sent a proposal of 104 CCTV cameras to higher authorities sitting at ferozepur division for sanction. After the sanctioned of proposal each and every pocket of Ludhiana Railway station came under the surveillance of CCTV cameras which will help the Railway protection force (RPF) to make ensure the safety of women those were travelling through train day and night.While speaking to this (Station Superintendent) Ashok Salaria, stated that “Railway protection force has sent a proposal of 104 CCtv cameras to Ferozepur division authorities to make ensure the women safety in station premises”. “Around 10 to 12 CCTV cameras are still working at station which was installed by the Government Railway Police Force (GRPF) by following the direction of Rajya Sabha under Nirbhaya Fund few months ago”.As the summer vacation season is going to start and footfall will increased numerous problems may came in eyes of department, to cub these entire problems CCTVs camera will played an important and make the station area more safe and secure during day and night time.When contacted SP Bhatia, Divisional traffic Manager (DTM), he said, “Installation of cameras is in dire need at railway station as this would reduce the crime rate and ensure the safety of women”.
