Ferozepur: A bus going to Dera Radha Swami Satsang Beas met an accident near Attari village about eight kilometers from Ferozepur on Friday afternoon in which 18 followers were injured. The driver of the bus fled from the spot after the bus collided with a tree, as the driver of the bus could not control the vehicle and lost the balance. Hundreds of followers of Dera Beas from Ferozepur and adjoining villages immediately reached the spot and they rushed the injured to the nearby hospitals.
As per the information the mini bus–RJ13PA-5577-was carrying the followers to Dera Beas from Fazilka. When it reached near Attari at the distance of about eight kilometers from Ferozepur, suddenly the driver of the bus lost its balance and the bus collided with a tree and overturned, due to which 18 passengers got injured. Police also reached the spot and took the bus in its custody, but Dera followers refused to lodge any case against the bus driver. As per preliminary investigation, the brakes of the bus failed due to which the driver could not control it and lost its balance and the bus collided with a tree aside the road. Those who were injured have been identified as Vishal, Jyoti, Sudesh, Loveesh, Harmesh, Jyoti, Barjesh, Kiran, Sita, Davinder Kaur, Harjimder Singh, Pippal Singh, Shinder, Krishna, Sukhdev and Matto Bai.
