35 lakh marriage fraud: A family of village Goolwala has alleged that a woman named Narender Purewal was cheated Rs 35 lakh for marrying their son with NRI girl who is settled in Canada. They deposited Rs 22 lakh in accounts of Narinder Purewal and his relatives, which they had a complete record.
Farmer by occupation, Sardul Singh said he read an advertisement in a newspaper; then he contacted to woman named Narender Purewal. She told that she has a girl who has a Canadian citizenship.
Narinder Purewal arranged a meeting with this girl and they finalised the marriage. In order to send their son to foreign countries, they demanded Rs. 35 lakhs.
Speaking on the occasion, fake NRI-made Praveen Kaur said that she is from Moga district and is a theater’s artist. She told that he was pursuing GNM nursing course, that his fellow artist had told Narinder Purewal helped a lot of the poor girl’s family.
She made her look completely NRI almost in a month. She said that after Narinder Purewal had fabricated fake papers related to his Canadian citizenship, which were made to show the family of boy.
Boy family claimed that Narinder Purewal is running a large rack in the name of sending innocent people to foreign countries. They demanded that the action against the woman will be implemented soon.
When talking to Narinder Purewal, she dismissed all the allegations made by the Kisan family. In this case, when Gurmeet Kaur, the investigating SP, spoke to the accused, they said. The matter is being investigated thoroughly by the police.
