AAP Aman Arora flays Capt Amarinder government
Sangrur – AAP MLA from Sunam and state co-convener of the party Aman Arora on Saturday flayed Amarinder Government for limiting Assembly session just to three days, fearing that it would be exposed by opposition parties due to its failures on every front. He said just three days’ session was a violation of the democratic norms and rules as 40 sittings of the assembly in a year were must while till now only 11 sittings had been held.He said he had personally informed the Speaker of Punjab Assembly about his views in this regard. Talking to media persons at Sunam today Arora further said Leader of opposition Sukhpal Singh Khaira would not submit resignation as he had been only summoned by the court. He said mere summoning by a court had no basis to resign as Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh himself was on bailina case while cases were also pending in the courts against Akali leaders. Arora said the AAP would field reputed candidates in the municipal corporations and municipal councils’ elections. He said he had already formed screening committees, comprising local leaders and state level leaders, that would choose best candidates having good reputation. He also criticised Amarinder Government, saying it had failed on all fronts whether it was the issue of suicides by debt ridden farmers, or other issues like farmers’ debt relief, unemployment, anganwari workers and mid-day meal. He said Capt Amarinder Singh had made tall promises to the people of state in the assembly elections but he had miserably failed as he could not fulfill even a single promise so far.
