Jalandhar: Former Chief Minister Rajinder Kaur Bhattal on Sunday said that the way Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) disrespected Darbar Sahib, they have proved that they were not even capable of even leading a Panchayat. Bhattal said that soon the dream of AAP National executive Arvind Kejriwal and its disgruntled leaders of form the next state government would also be shattered by the people of Punjab. The ex-CM also cornered the SAD-BJP government and said that after looting the state in all forms, the Badal clan was now on its last breath. “People of Punjab have made up their mind to uproot Akalis from the state”, she said.
Addressing the gathering of Congress workers and leaders at Phillaur assembly constituency organised by PPCC general secretary Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary, Bhattal sought support in favour of Chaudhary. Earlier, Jalandhar MP Santokh Singh Chaudhary while attacking the ruling SAD-BJP alliance said that the state has into financial emergency where its debt has increased from Rs 27,000 crore to Rs 13, 8000 crore as on date. “Punjab government has been mortgaging immovable properties to raise funds to meet the day to day expenses and to pay salaries to the staff.
The employees of state government departments had also been resorting to strikes due to the non-fulfillment of their demands”, the Jalandhar MP said. Further, talking about the law and order problem, Santokh Chaudhary said that the state was being run by Akali gundas ‘Halqa Incharges’, who were controlling the police and civil administration. Among other leaders present on this occasion were Amarjit Singh Samra, ex-minister, Santosh Chaudhary ex-MP, Gurchet Singh Bhullar, ex-minister, Brij Bhupinder Singh Kang, ex-minster, Rana K P Singh, ex-MLA, Jagbir Brar, DCC president Jalandhar (Rural) and others.
