DP Correspondent , Ludhiana:- Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) senior leader Sanjay Singh appeared in court in defamation case filed by former minister Bikram Majithia on Wednesday. The court has fixed the next hearing on August 23 this year.However no evidence or statement was recorded in court today and only the attendance of Sanjay Singh was marked. The court has already framed charges against Sanjay Singh.Talking to media, Sanjay Singh has asserted that Congress Government has miserably failed on all fronts and could not succeeded to fulfill even a single promise made with the people during elections in Punjab.Singh blamed the Congress of back tracking from all the promises made with the people and said that the suicide rate of distressed farmers have been substantially increased as Captain Government completely betrayed the Farmers, who were promised a lump sum waiver of their loans. He added that that other promises including employment in each family , enhancement in old age pensions to ₹ 2500 per month, complete eradication of drugs unemployment allowance of 2000 per month were also not even considered by the Government and now the people were fully disillusioned.Singh further claimed that law and order in the state had been completely collapsed and criminals were striking at their will in all parts of the state. He said that recently a Pastor of a Church had been murdered in Ludhiana and no culprit could be caught even they were seen on CCTV cameras.
