Bathinda, Nov 8 : – 10 people have been killed in the accident on Bathinda Bhucho Road. Giving this information here today, the Deputy Commissioner Bathinda Mr Diprava Lakra stated that Punjab government has announced Rs 1 lac compensation for the deceased and Rs 50000 for the injured.He stated that in the first accident ten people have been killed. The names of deceased are as follows: teacher Mandeep Kaur resident of Pitho, students of Government Rajindra College include Rafi Mohammad (20) resident of Dyalpura Mirza, Vinod Kumar Mittal (18) resident of SBS Colony Rampura Mandi, Shikha (17) resident of Chauke Street Rampura Mandi and Khushvir Kaur (20) resident of Mehraj basti Rampura Mandi. Similarly, deceased students of DAV College include Jaspreet Kaur (18) resident of area near bus stand Rampura Mandi and Nancy (19) resident of Rampura mandi. Students of IELTS Coaching center Bathinda included Manpreet Kaur (18) resident of Lehra Khana and Ishwar (18) resident of Bhucho Mandi.
He added that the injured admitted at Adesh Hospital Bhucho are as follows: Amanpreet Kaur (25) from Pitho, Ramandeep Kaur (28) from Jethuke, Jagwinder Kaur (34) from Dhipali, Amritpal Kaur (30) from Bathinda, Gurpreet Singh (29) driver of Libra bus and resident of Bhucho Kalan, Harpreet kaur (19) from Bhucho Kalan, Priya Garg (19) from Rampura Phul, Tany Bansal (18) from Rampura Phul, Satya Rani (74) from Bathinda, Manthan (21) from Rampura Phul and Harpreet Singh.Similarly, the accident too occurred at Bathinda-Bhucho Road wherein vehicles rammed into each other. Two people have been injured in the accident including Jagmohan Singh resident of village Lehra Mohabbat and Mandeep Singh resident of village Dyalpura Mirza a student of Government Rajindra College. He appealed people to drive slow in this season. Also reflectors should be installed on all vehicles. He added that no bus or truck driver is allowed to stop vehicles on the bridges to board or get down on the bridges.
