Accused arrested. A man has been arrested by the division number 5 police for preparing forged documents of properties. The incident took place on Saturday when Amarjit Singh Khatra, resident of Basant Avenue, Dugri went to district court complex. Khatra caught him when he went to district court complex and found the accused preparing fake documents of properties.
Khatra had immediately informed the Police and a case has been registered against the accused following Khatra’s statement. The accused has been identified as Rakesh Bansal, a resident of Jain Colony.
ASI Baldev Singh is investigating the case and informed that the police have also recovered fake documents and stamps from his possession. A case under sections 420 (Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) 465 (forgery), 467 (Forgery of valuable security, will, etc), 468 (Forgery for purpose of cheating), 471 (Using as genuine a forged) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of IPC have been registered against him. The ASI also talked about more important information expected to come out while interrogation.
