ACP register case against Akali Leader without investigation, sent on forced leave.
Slapping two cases of land grabbing and sheltering gangster lands Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Maninder Bedi in trouble.
Commissioner of Police RN Dhoke have sent ACP on forced leave as he registered case without investigation and without taking consent of his bosses.ACP Crime Maninder Bedi has registered case against Youth Akali Dal district president Gurpreet Singh Babbal for grabbing the land in posh locality of city- Sarabha Nagar.The police have also booked gangster Sukha Barewalia in same case.On next day another case was registered against Babbal for sheltering gangster Sukhpreet Singh Sukha Barewalia.
The land grabbing case was registered following the complaint of Rajdeep Singh, nephew of Congress leader Kulwant Singh Sidhu.Sidhu claimed that Babbal has taken illegal possession of his property and the police avoided the case under the influence of SAD- BJP government. Refuting allegations, Babbal said that case is example of political vendetta against him. He said that Sidhu misused his power to get the case registered against him. He claimed that he has no links with gangster.
