Ludhiana: In the ongoing issue of the Guru Nanak Girls (GNG) College, Model Town against college Principal, in which the college students allegedly attempted suicide after her name was struck of from college on thursday a meeting was carried out between the two groups of students and management in college premises. The meeting was carried out under aegies of district administration officials to sort out the ongoing controversy.
Earlier in a day, group of students also met Deputy Commissioner Ravi Bhagat with their demands who afterwards arranged a meeting between college management and students.
The meeting was headed by SDM Sanjeev Kumar and ADCP Kuldeep Sharma.
But all the studeNTS did not agree to the outcome of meeting. Students split in to two groups over the outcome of meeting.
Around half a dozen students attended the meeting as representatives of all students . After the meeting they revealed that Principal of the college Charanjit Kaur Mahal has accepted demands of students and now they can continue their classes from Friday.
In the meeting demands of the students includes college should take back students whose names have been struck off due to short attendance, extra fees being taken by college, no medical facility, hostlers forced to live in unhygienic problems, teachers, Principal using offensive language and beating students which is against law.
