Ludhiana: The All India Students Federation (AISF) Ludhiana decided to mobilize students against the commercialization of education. In a seminar held on Sunday under the banner of AISF on the topic, ‘Present Education System – Challenges ahead various speakers’ said that because of commercialization of education vast majority of students from low economic group have been devoid of the quality education.
Expressing concern at this the students said that the government has shed its constitutional responsibility to provide education to all because of which schools, colleges and university have come up in the private sector. Even the corporate sector is entering the field of education. There is exorbitant increase in the tuition fee and overhead charges by the schools and colleges which the common man is unable to pay. Security to the girls students and ensure their safe transport to and from the school and colleges.
