Ludhiana: In a high profile case of Income Tax Department Versus Captain Amrinder Singh, court of Cheif Judicial Magistrate Japinder Singh has fixed next date of hearing on April 24. After hearing arguments of counsel of department, court will now to decide whether CM will be summoned or not in the above said case.
During last year, I T Department filed complaint case against Captain under section 277 of Income Tax Act and section 176, 177, 181, 186, 187, 193 & 199 of IPC through officer Amanpreet Kaur.
According to the department, Captain owns numerous moveable and non-moveable properties in foreign countries and he gained profit through Jarkanda Trust by misguiding the department.
The Captain did not disclose documents related to above said matter intentionally. The department also alleged that Amarinder tried to stop official of the said department to perform duty.
The department also stated that a notice was sent to CM but he failed to give a satisfactory reply.
According to counsel of department, Advocate Rakesh Gupta, court has fixed April 24,2017 as next date. IT Department has also filed two complaints against Raninder Singh, son of Captain Amarinder Singh.
The case had been filed last year by I-T Department
