BJP National President will reach Jalandhar on November 20 for booth-level workers meet of 23 assembly segments
Jalandhar: BJP National President Amit Shah would be reaching Jalandhar on November 20 for a grand booth-level workers meet of 23 assembly segments of Doaba region ahead of the Punjab assembly elections 2017.
Union Minister of State (MoS) and BJP Punjab chief Vijay Sampla on Wednesday shared Amit Shah’s programme and said that booth level teams had been constituted for the rally. The worker’s meet would be held at Guru Gobind Singh Avenue, Jalandhar.
Addressing a press conference, Sampla said that Shah would interact with the workers while a host of senior BJP leaders from Centre would also be present on this occasion. “The in-charge of 23 assembly segments, presidents of 4,000 booths in the state and workers would be present. Amit Shah would chalk out the campaign programme of BJP Punjab for the upcoming assembly elections,” he said.
Talking about the decision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to demonitise Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes, Sampla said that Modi has once again proved his stand against his resolve to curb ‘black money’ in the market. “While ‘Desh Bhakts’ welcomed the decision, those who owned ‘blackmoney’ were crying foul,” he said.
The MoS said that following this decision, neighbouring country Pakistan, which was shielding terrorism, was badly affected. “Not only this would seize blackmoney flow, free flow of funds for terrorist activities in Pakistan would also come to an end,” he maintained.
