Badal accuses govt of pushing farmers into financial crisis. Former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Wednesday accused the Captain Amarinder Singh led state government of pushing farmers into serious financial crisis and said that it had been taking such steps that would ruin the economy of the state as well as the farming community.Badál further said that the state government was finding excuses these days to withdraw free power supply facility to the tubewells of the farmers by dividing them into small and big farmers categories. If such a step was initiated by the Congress government, the state’s economy would shatter in a big way as rice mill industry as well as labourers and arhtiyas would also be affected adversely, he added. While speaking to the media at the residence of state president of Arhtiya Association Ravinder Singh Cheema in Sunam on Wednesday, Badal said Chief Minister Amarinder Singh had promised to give a job in every home but instead of providing jobs to unemployed youth, his government had been snatching employment from the already employed persons. He said by way of closing thermal power plants, the CM had made hundred of persons unemployed. The former CM also said that Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) had always raised its voice in favour of women and their rights. Besides, the SAD had also respected the women at every platform and worked for providing more rights to the women. He also condemned attacks on the women and atrocities being committed on them in the state presently.
