Ludhiana: The basic talent of a writer is whatever he feels he writes it in those verses that mean best when read and this writer beautifies every creation of his. He believes in shredding the old leaves and wait for new to grow. He is none other than a person who has a great connection with poetry and book writing. He is Gurbhajan Gill. For him children, birds, flowers and stars are the metaphors that highlighted the symphony of the universe.
Being an early riser, he wakes up early and then tune to kirtan. After that he takes tea with his family where all sit together and share their thoughts. Then after that his day starts with reading books, newspapers and listening to quality songs. After that he tries to revise his old books and then he visits to Punjab Agricultural University. There he loves to interact with the young generation specially the new generation who is recently recruited.
Writing poetry, daily he tries to do some tasks related to social awareness so that he can make the people aware with his learning and thoughts, listening quality songs, indulging in making people aware with some innovations.
Few days back he was in USA where he daily addressed around 100 people and those people got to learn so many things from him, interacting with them makes him add more to his knowledge, always active on whatsapp as he tries to send something informative through such applications. He is also writing for newspapers and many other writings by him.
He had been the president for 4 years of Punjabi Sahit Akademi and presently, he is the chairman of Maharaja Dalip Singh Memorial Trust. He has written many Punjabi poetry books such as ‘Shisha Jhooth Bolda Hai’, ‘Hai-Dukhda Pind Mera Hai’, ‘Bol Mitti Diya Bawya’ and ‘Agan Katha’. He has two compilations of ghazals and his book ‘Bol Mitti Diya Bawya’ is prescribed as a text book for BA (Hons) of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
For him, a person is never old when he has a young heart. Body can be old but a person’s heart can never be old. If a person has some target in his life then a person can never grow to an old stage.
A person can stay young when he tries to listen to his inner voice. Gurbhajan believes spending quality time with kids is the key for him to stay young.
