Jalandhar: The local police have arrested busted a gang providing fake certificates with the arrest of one person, on Thursday at Jalandhar. The accused has been identified as Rajesh Kumar (33) resident of Ali Mohalla in Jalandhar.
During the arrest the police have recovered large number of such fake birth certificates with different names. Complainant Rajbeer Singh paid the amount of Rs 4000 for a birth certificate by the name of his friend Anil Kumar. Singh added that he met the accused in civil hospital few days where the accused offered to prepare the certificate the same day for Rs 4000.
During the course of investigation, it has come to fore that Rajesh was assisted by another of his aide identified Kashmir Singh resident of Kotli Gajran, Shahkot. Kashmir Singh managed to doge the police and fled from the spot.
