Amritsar: As result of Punjab assembly elections will be declared on March 11, candidates of various political parties have started to visit not just astrologers but even clinics of psychiatrists.
Many candidates who were in the fray are visiting temples, mosques and gurdwaras to offer prayers.
SAD President Sukhbir Singh Badal while speaking to “Daily Post” at Golden Temple asserted that SAD-BJP alliance is poised to register a victory and form the government for the third successive time.
In Amritsar besides AAP, no other party organised a programme to thank their workers in past one month.
AAP, led by its state vice president, Jaskaran Badesha, had organised a function around a fortnight ago in which the party activists were asked to form committees and start ground level work in the villages. Badesha asserted that AAP is heading towards a scintillating win in Punjab.
Fearing debacle, many political leaders have knocked at the doors of some noted psychiatrists too. On being asked, a renowned psychiatrist, disclosed on the condition of anonymity that as many as four to five nominees of political parties had so far visited him with a view to “meet the situation” in the hour of crisis.
