Chandigarh : Punjab Congress president Captain Amarinder Singh has become paranoid and having hallucinations that all his rivals are ganging up against him.
Commenting on Amarinder Singh’s recent assertions that Aam Admi Party (AAP) and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) had joined hands to “malign him” alleging that Punjab government had leaked the closure report which is yet to be submitted to court of Amritsar Improvement Trust (AIT) case, political advisor to Punjab chief minister Mahesh Inder Singh Grewal and senior leader Virsa Singh Valtoha said that “ganging up” of AAP and Akalis was just a fig of wild imagination of a sick mind.
Earlier, AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal too had made a similar absurd statement that Amarinder Singh was let off the noose in AIT case following a tacit understanding between Congress and Akali Dal.
The Akali duo felt that both Congress and AAP are indulging in such theatricals to hide their Machiavellian strategies though even a naïve in Punjab politics knows that Akalis and Congress are poles apart and would never come together notwithstanding adage that the politics is art of possible. Moreover, to say that the Akalis and AAP are having any understanding is equally unimaginable as AAP is a conglomeration of rejected, dejected and frustrated self seekers who do not think beyond self aggrandizement. The Akalis can’t have any truck with them, the dou added.
Reminding Amarinder Singh that the Congress party had come to the rescue of AAP in Delhi and supported AAP’s government albeit short lived though AAP had come to power promising that he would send r Sheila Dixit to jail for her acts of omission and commission- a promise they never honoured”, the Akali leaders said that the Congress and AAP can go to any extend and collaborate to bail out each other.
The senior Akali leaders also lambasted Amarinder Singh for claiming to be a crusader against corruption arguing that he should first get a clean chit from his own colleague Rajinder Kaur Bhattal who had made a scathing attack on him for amassing wealth during his first and last term as Chief Minister. Also, Amarinder Singh and his family members should come clean in inquiries pending before the Enforcement Directorate, they added.
