Muktsar: Punjab Revenue minister Bikram Singh Majithia on Monday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving a befitting reply to Pakistan and urged the centre to support border area farmers in testing times. He also lashed at Punjab Congress president Capt Amarinder Singh for politicising national security of the country through his petty statements.
Presiding over massive youth gathering Majithia said Punjabis have been evacuated from border areas after a directive of central government. He said all attempts are being made to ensure they do not suffer due to war like situation.
YAD patron highlighed that CM Badal visited all border districts of Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Ferozepur, Fazilka and interacted with residents, Capt Amarinder Singh is busy doing his programmes in other parts of Punjab.
He said that Amarinder is undermining national security by issuing loose statements. He said it seemed Maharaja’s script writers had forgotten to inform him that even Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi had appreciated PM Modi’s stand against terrorism. “He could very well have consulted Rahul Gandhi before coming out with statements which undermined national morale”, Mr Majithia added.
Majithia added that even after winning Lok Sabha elections from Amritsar, Amarinder has stayed away from voters and as a member of Lok Sabha he only attended 11 out of 231 sittings. Taking a dig at AAP, he said that 3 Cs Characterless, Criminal and Corrupt, are now
synonymous with Aam Aadmi Party.
