Amritsar: Bharatiya Janata Party-SAD Alliance candidate for Amritsar Lok Sabha seat Rajinder Mohan Singh on Sunday stood for border area development, through central grants. He addressed election rallies at Bhakna, Mulla Behram, Khasa and Islamabad and other areas where he promised the voters to provide compensation to those farmers whose land is across the fence.
He also stated that the border areas need more education and health facilities. Chhina said SAD-BJP government which is force behind social unity in Punjab, had undertaken tremendous development works.
“The development is a continuous process and once the SAD-BJP form the government for the third consecutive time, it will further speed up the works for public good’’, added Chhina.
He said Modi government at Centre has initiated various pro-farmers and pro-poor policies and rural development is one of the primary focus. “Under Swachh Bharat programmes, building of toilets is being sponsored and poor are taking advantage of the programmes.
SAD – BJP candidate rubbishes land grab charges
Amritsar: Senior BJP leader and SAD-BJP candidate for Lok Sabha by-election Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina on Sunday, rbbished the charges made by Baldev Singh Sarsa regarding any land dispute. He said the allegations were politically motivated and accused Sarsa for trying to get political mileage out of the ssue.
Chhina said charges were false and frivolous and relates to an old issue but Sarsa at the time of elections has shaken hands with the political rivals for his personal gratification and motives. DP
