City police solve money exchanger robbery case
Ludhiana – The two accused has been arrested in the money exchanger robbery of Rs 4 lakh case at Noorwala road. According to the police, accused had done robbery in a motive to go Dubai. Police have recovered a total of Rs 3.80 lakh in cash and a vehicle used in the robbery. The arrested accused has been identified as Sonu, 25, of Nanda colony of Kakowal road and his accomplice Dashit Sharma, 22, of Shimla colony.Rajveer Singh Boparai, additional deputy commissioner of police averred that Sonu has done the crime and another Dashit has given his scooter which was used in the crime. He further claimed that accused Sonu’s sister is settled in Dubai and used to send some money to their family as Sonu is unemployed and also lost his father. Sonu used to collect the cash from Kalra travels and Money Exchanger at Noorwala road every month. Sonu is unemployed and want to settle down in Dubai and want to earn good source of income. Due to this, accused have hatched the conspiracy to rob the money from western union shop at Noorwala road.Accused Sonu claimed that on Saturday he texted Sarini woman employee at money exchange shop for money which his sister sent from Dubai but Sarini claimed that she had finished her work and come on Sunday. But Sonu has something else in his mind. He went to his friend Dashit Sharma and exchanged his active scooter with latter’s Jupitor Scooter. Wearing a cap and covering his face with piece of cloth Sonu barged in the shop. He threatened Sarini with the knife and also tried to gag her mouth with tape. He slapped Sarini when she raised alarm and robbed bag containing cash from the bag.
