LUDHIANA: The national-level Preliminary Civil Services Examination by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) would be held at 31 centres set up by District Administration on August 7. The District Administration has made all arrangements in this regard. For this examination, a total of 11558 candidates would be appearing from different parts of the state.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Apneet Riyait, who would be the coordinator for this examination, informed that a total of 31 examination centres, including one at Punjab Agricultural University, have been set up. She informed that a separate examination centre for visually impaired has been set up at Punjab Agricultural University.
She informed that all security and other arrangements have been completed and more than 350 police personnel have been deputed and more than 1100 officials would be on duty inside the examination centres. She has appealed to all candidates to assist the examination staff and reach the examination centres atleast one hour in advance. Deputy Commissioner Ravi Bhagat and ADC (D) Apneet Riyait wished good luck to all candidates.
