Vehra (Amritsar): Terming that pro-people exercise like Sangat Darshan was not every Chief Minister ‘s ‘cup of tea’, the Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Wednesday said that ‘once bitten, twice shy’ Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and state Congress Chief Captain Amarinder Singh were a complete misfit for this exercise.
Addressing the public gatherings in Mohale, Vehra, Bhiddi Aulakh Khud villages among others during Sangat Darshan in Rajasansi Assembly segment here on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said that when voted to power, neither Kejriwal nor Amarinder bother about public welfare. He said that there is no Chief Minister in the entire country who visits every village of the state in scorching heat or spine-chilling cold. However, Badal said that during SAD-BJP alliance government he undertakes this massive exercise to ensure well being of every strata of the society.
The Chief Minister said that it was on record that on lines of Sangat Darshan Kejriwal had tried his luck for holding Janta Darbar in Delhi. However, Badal said that this move proved to be a total disaster as the Delhi Chief Minister was not able to undertake this exercise for a single day. “Ultimately Kejriwal ran away from his words and never conducted this exercise”, he added. Likewise, the Chief Minister said that state Congress Chief Captain Amarinder Singh had never bothered to meet the people during his regime. However, he said that now in false hope of becoming Chief Minister, Captain has announced to hold ‘Darbars’ in every constituency.
