Sangrur – In Punjab, the responsibility of maintenance and management of schools is jointly owned by the Punjab Government and a private company but for the last several months the schools have neither given books nor the teachers are paid salaries. In such a situation, the presences of schools running in the state are posing a threat. Students studying in schools, their parents protest against the government and the company today.According to the information that Purshotam Singh Fuguwala, a prominent social worker of Bhawanigarh city, has been on hunger strike for the past 6 days but the government is not having any effect of this and neither the district administration has resolved the related problem. In order to support School’s campaign, AAP’s MP Bhagwant Mann has come to support this in Bhawanigarh. He expressed out their complaints against the Punjab government. Bhagwant Mann said that it is shameful that the Congress government in power due to the big claims and made situation very bad of the schools in the state. Today, such situations have arisen that children and their parents are protesting against government. He assured that the matter would soon be discussed with the top officials of the Education Department.The principal and students of this school consider the government guilty in this case. They alleged that the government was destroying education of children. Providing jobs to youth, rather it is engaged in making them unemployed.
