Bharatiya Janata Party Punjab’s Secretary, Vineet Joshi claims that Congress leaders trade heroin in the state. The BJP targeted the Congress saying that Captain has failed to fulfill his claims of ending drug menace and gangsters in Punjab. BJP’s claims were followed by Congress MLA’s statement that Congress leaders were involved in the heroin trade across the state.Joshi criticized Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and Punjab Congress Chief Sunil Jakhar. He said that both them now stand exposed after the Congress MLA Dhiman’s statement. Joshi said, “The accusations leveled by Congress MLA Surjit Singh Dhiman against the Congress leaders and police and administrative officers regarding the sale of narcotics in the state are very serious in nature and they need to be enquired into”.Further, BJP secretary Joshi demanded that the Chief Minister should ask Dhiman to name the Congress leaders involved in the sale of drugs and take strict action against them. He said, “The Chief Minister should take strict action against the Congress leaders who are involved in drug trade and are sheltering the gangsters”.
