Chandigarh, 13 October-Chief Minister of Punjab Amrinder Singh likely to direct the release of amount to banks regarding farm waiver debt after the declaration of Gurdaspur bypoll outcome. Sources told that releasing amount may be in instalments. CM has called a meeting with different farmer’s organisation on October 16, in his official residence in Chandigarh. A formal letter has been issued on the behalf of CM, by the Special Secretary, Agriculture, Vikas Garg to the 14 leaders of various farmers’ organisation.During the Gurdaspur bypoll, the farmers had staged demonstration in Patiala. Requesting them to lift the demonstration, the CM had promised to listen them after the poll result. Although the Punjab Government had also sent proposed notification to the Election Commission to allow the Government for notification. As believed, no reply has been received so far. Gurdaspur bypoll result will be declared on October 15 and after that code of conduct will not be in force. In the sent letter to the Farmer’s leaders, it is said that to give the detailed information about scheme of debt waiver and to discuss some other issue, CM has called a meeting at his official residence in Chandigarh.Notbale the cabinet sub- committee has already submitted its report on debt waiver to the CM. Those who are called to attend the meeting are Kanwalpreet Singh Pannu and Karmjit Singh , President and Genereal Secretary of Kisan Sangharsh Committee, Harjinder Singh and Harjit singh of Azad Kisan Sangarh Committee, Buta Singh Burj Gill and Jagmohan Singh of Bharti Kisan Union (Dakounda), Joginder Singh Ugrahan and Janda Singh of BKU Ugrahan, Surjit Singh Phool and Dalvinder Singh Sherkhan of BKU Phool Group, Binder Singh and Gurmit Singh Mehma Singh of BKU Krantikari and Nirbhey Singh and Hardev Singh Sandhu of Kirti Kissan Union.
