Ludhiana: Police have registered a case against a lecturer working at Government Secondary School, Sohia, near Jagraon, in the district, on the charges of allegedly creating nuisance in the school premises under the influence of liquor. According to the police, the school lecturer Jagdeep Singh allegedly under the influence of liquor arrived on the duty at the school and indulged into misbehaving with the other teachers.
He even allegedly used abusive language for the schoolchildren. The school principal tried to control the situation. However, when he failed to do so then he informed the village panchayat. On receiving the information,the village Sarpanch Mukhtiar Singh
On receiving the information,the village Sarpanch Mukhtiar Singh along with his colleagues made a complaint in this regard to the Chowkiman police. On this, the police arrived at the school premises and apprehended the lecturer. Police got conducted medical examination done of the lecturer at government hospital, Jagraon. The lecturer concerned was booked under Sections 294 and 506 of the IPC after he was found under influence of liquor during the medical examination. Further proceedings are on, said the police.
